Data Economy Forum
Presenting a blueprint for the future economy centered on data.
The 21st century global economy is seeing data become a core asset, with the importance of data-based decision-making and exchange growing daily. In particular, as Korea and China are major countries leading the Asian economy, the analysis and exchange of economic data between the two countries is opening new horizons for international cooperation and mutual understanding.
In this context, the Data Economy Forum provides a venue for Korean and Chinese international students to strengthen their economic data analysis capabilities together with senior journalists, and to build a foundation for mutual cooperation through media exchange between the two countries.
Forum Goals
The Data Economy Forum aims to help Korean and Chinese international students develop practical capabilities in economics and data analysis. Through the forum, students collaborate with senior journalists, experience the process of collecting, analyzing, and visualizing economic data, and receive training to derive practical and innovative insights based on this.
In particular, senior journalists who served as Beijing correspondents participate as mentors, passing on know-how about utilizing economic data and media reporting to students. Through this process, students gain a deep understanding of how the convergence of data and journalism can provide value in solving economic and social problems.
Key Activities: Asian Economic Cooperation and Media Exchange
The Data Economy Forum doesn't just analyze economic data, but presents a new model of economic cooperation centered on Asia. With Korea and China at the center, we jointly analyze economic data in the Asian region and explore new cooperation possibilities based on this.
Media exchange is not just about producing content, but an opportunity to share different cultural backgrounds and perspectives, and pursue joint projects centered on economic data. Through this, Korean and Chinese international students learn the value of international collaboration and establish a foothold for becoming competitive journalists on the global stage.
In the long term, the Data Economy Forum will position itself as the center of global economic data analysis and exchange beyond Asia, providing students with the expertise needed in the data economy era, and expanding the Korea-China cooperation model.
